The municipality of Heerde offers tourists unique and varied landscapes. The forests of the Veluwe Ridge, the rolling heathlands, and the beautiful IJssel valley with its pretty creeks and of course the IJssel River itself, together provide a beautiful natural environment.

If you like water, Heerde has possibilities as well, such as the quaint harbour of Veessen along the IJssel dyke. Sun worshippers can relax at the Heerde beach, a lakeside resort nestled between forests and heathland with quality-controlled swimming water.
